First Step:
Quota: To apply an Employment visa for any candidate recruited by the company, the first step is to apply the quota. The E-quota application form is available at Tas’heel Centre..
Second Step:
Offer Letter: Once the quota is approved, the offer letter needs to be typed from Tas’heel Centre and get signature and Thumb Impression from the Employee. If the employee is out of the county, the offer letter can be emailed and on signing, the documents can be scanned for submission.
Third Step:
Work Permit: Once you receive the signed Offer Letter, Work Permit application needs to be typed at Tas’heel along with the offer letter and Company Seal/Sign and plus All documents mentioned in the above section.
Kindly note for a certain Designation attested Education Certificate is required. No need attestation for Secondary and Higher Secondary Certificates. Work Permit Approval will come after two days to 4 working days depending on the Nationality.
Application status can be tracked through www.mol.gov.ae by entering MB number which is printed on the application.
WORK PERMIT EXTENSION: Due to any reason if the company is not able to proceed with the next step, Work Permit is renewable every 10 days upon payment of Dh 500 fee each time for a maximum of six times calculated from the date of expiry of its initial or renewed term. This can be done at any Tasheel center.
Fourth Step:
Labour Card: The Labour Fee needs to be paid as per the company category mentioned in the Ministry of Labour.

Immigration Fee: On paying the Bank Guarantee and Labour fee, you then need to type the Entry Permit Application form with a fee of Dh 450 if Outside country & DH 1110 if Inside country, for each visa through eDNRD online and get e-Visa on approval. Depending on the Nationality Entry permit will be out after security check Minimum Age requirement for applying for employment visa: 18, and Maximum: 65.
There is 60 day’s time from the date of Entry/Visa Position Amendment to complete Medical, Emirates ID and visa stamping.
Seventh Step:
Change Status: If the employee is inside the country on receiving the Entry permit it needs to do Change status. The application needs to be filled at EDNRD and wait for the approval. If the applicant is on VISIT VISA / TOURIST VISA the same process to be followed of (6th & 7th)
Tourist visa holders also can change visa inside country without exit.
Eighth Step:
Medical Typing: On completing the Change Status, you can then do Medical typing and then proceed to do the Medical Test at the authorized Medical Centre.
Ninth Step:
Emirates ID Typing: Once Medical typing is done then you can do Emirates ID typing and then proceed for fingerprints (if required).
Tenth Step:
Labour Contract: On receiving the Medical Report you can then proceed to do the Labour Contract typing at Tasheel Centre. Employee should sign on the Labour contract with the company seal and then submit the Labour Contract at Tasheel Centre.
Eleventh Step:
Visa Stamping: The final step of the Employment Visa process is to proceed with the Visa stamping application through any typing Centre. Once the application is submitted online one should wait for the approval from the Immigration. The approval message will be received through SMS on the mobile number given and an Airway bill number will be assigned to pick up the Original passport by Zajeel. Kindly contact Zajeel and arrange for pickup of documents. After the Visa is stamped on the passport, Zajeel will deliver the passport after 2 working days. You should have your Company User ID and Password for visa transactions. Urgent: If you choose urgent visa stamping, pay Dh100 extra through online at the time of submission and take the passport to Immigration branch to stamp the visa same time. You should wait for online approval before going to Immigration. Security approval takes time depends on nationality.
